Month end and what a month, im pretty sure its my biggest winning month of the year and after the last six months horror show in 2008 it makes it my biggest winning month in over a year. So whats changed? Well i think its a combination of a number of things, firstly i think droping down the levels so quickly in June when things where going pair shaped is the main reason, doing this prevented any real damage to the P&L and thus there was less pressure on me to win. Then there was identifying leaks in my game quickly, no matter how small a plugged leak can save fortunes! Droping the number of tables being played from six to four also made a big diffrence, helping me find real focus on my game. This combined with running "honest" and actually catching a few lucky cards here and there over the 60,000 hands played this month all added up for the great month. Its been a tough couple of month since Vegas, but ive worked hard and stayed honest with myself and this months results reflect that. So what im i doing as reward for the hard work and good results? A couple of week in the sun? A GUKPT event, and EPT or maybe a trip to Vegas.................no im going camping in a field in Derbyshire with my daughter, a man who finds it hard to check into a hotel with less than five stars is going sleeping rough in the great outdoors, foooooook me i must be in a good mood!!!! Hopefully though i will survive the great adventure and being well i will play the GUKPT event at Luton, hopefully ive won a seat via badbeat, if so maybe, just maybe i can sort that long losing live tournement record out..................after all this is my year!!
