Well another week of up and downs, downs and ups and very little progress! Theres no questioning my work rate but the results just arnt doing me justice at the moment as i record yet another break even week! The major plus point was finding a pretty bad leak which im sure will have a big impact on the P&L in the coming weeks. The leak was so basic, and in my view as bad a leak as you can have that im still amazed it was me doing the leaking!!!!!! And the leak..........CALLING pre flop raises out of position in the SMALL blind with marginal hands, seriously how bad is that?!!! Even though the last few weeks have been pretty tough as it seems every June/July have been for the last 2-3 years, i think ive reached the bottom of the slight down swing and feel the last couple of days have seen a big change in my overall "unlucky" factor, so hopefully from here on in its onwards and upwards. Away from my game first off big, big, BIG up to James Akenhead for making the final table of the WSOP main event, just doesnt get any bigger, and the fact the main man Phil Ivey is there too, well surely it makes it the greatiest WSOP main event of all time?
Finally a hand that one of my mentor group played this week, hes a German kid by the name of Tim Scoenberg who plays heads up fixed limit, which in my mind is the most complex form of hold em poker and Tim for me is one of the best players ive seen at the game. Being German he has that amazing skill off being emotionally detached from the game, and if FLHU that is one wonderful skill to have as it can be a truely sick game, anyway he showed me this hand and its really sums up just how good he is and how sick the game is as both players play this hand pretty perfect.............but i know that most NL players will look at this hand and thing its two seriously sick fish players donking off there money! All i can say is that on the end Tim IS value betting, its not a bluff!!!!!! I mean how often do you get to value bet 9 high!!!!!! Pure genius!!! Enjoy and feel free to comment!!!!
