Im writing this blog just a few minutes after a session that more or less sums up my month!!!!!! Had a good session finishing a few thousand up, so obviously im feeling good, but really i should still be playing the session, afterall you keep playing when your winning right?! Well not after the last two hands i played you dont!!!!! For most of this month ive moved away from the 200nl game and have focused far more on the 500nl and 1000nl games, over all its been a very flat month, but like i said, the session i just played kind of sums its up! So too the last two hands of a WINNING session. Im playing six tables of 500nl and im at least double stacked on every table, its going very well. Then im dealt KK on the button, a LAG reg raises and i 3 bet, he calls (he always call, his fold to 3bets is something like 20%............hes a gimp reg!). Flop 3 Q 7 rainbow, he bets i re-raise he moves all in i call, he shows 66.........................runner runner straight. O well big pot got to be happy to get in in so good, lets move on. Same player diffrent table, i have AQ in SB he raises from the button i call, flop AQ2, he bets i raise he goes all in i call......................hes got K10. No need to go into detail about the river now is there?! So i go from a very good day to a good day, but bottom line is it should have been a very VERY good day, and that my friend is the story of my month, ive had a goodish month but it really really should have been a very VERY good month!!!! Two biggest pots ive lost this month, both played at the weekend, both at 1000nl and again both against the same player. First hand i have AdQd on a 10d2d7c board all the money goes in, hes got KK and i miss with my back door straight draw,my over card and nuts flush draw. A few hands later i have KK on a 2d7d7c board. All the money goes in and hes got 4d5d. Obviously he hits. So the point im making: i raise all my money in with a pretty good drawing hand and lose, i then raise all my money in and get called by a pretty sh1t draw and lose! MY MONTH ALL BLOODY OVER!!!!!!!!!!!! But,(because theres always a but) ive still finshed in profit and if i finish in profit after months like this, well my god im going to have some serious up months when i run fair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway off for a week with the family to Cornwall, hopefully the cottage has no internet thus no urge to work, and then the day after i get home its off to vegas to pick up that long awaited WSOP braclet!!!!!! Well if the poker gods are reading all that "luck" ive not had this month will certainly come in useful in vegas please.
