Another week but sadly not another dollar as i record my forst losing week in, well in weeks. The fact ive been playing on Grandslam instead of the much prefered Betfair may well be the reason for the slight lose, no, the move to ipoker IS the reason i had a losing week (BTW its a tiny losing week, $2000, its coming back to papa today)! Its strange how some site just suit and others dont. I was talking to one of my full time pro players this week and the conversation turned to prefered platforms, hes was adamant that Betfair is the site he loves to hate while ipoker is a site he loves- while on the other hand i love the Betfair software wonderful but have a dark dislike of all things ipoker (unless winning there of course then the software doesnt seem half as bad). So why play at a site that i obviously have issues with? It simples- rake race. One seat to the Irish Open in Easter, not played at ipoker for 5 weeks then i get an email telling me with a week left im leading the race rake!!!!! Simples!!!!! I've got to spend a week grinding away to win the seat. So a week of 6 tabling 1/2nl. Not really got to many hands in to be fair managing just 10,000 hands but by my calculations that should be more than enough to claim the seat............well it better be as i booked the flights to Ireland on Friday! Theres one more day of the race left, so im going to try and play another 2,000-3,000 hands today then its back to beloved Betfair. The rest of the week i expect will be a queit week poker wise, real life rears its head this week, it would have been my second born Zara's 1st birthday tomorrow so its going to be a time for reflection and a time for putting everything back into perspective, then later on in the week with what i think is perfect timing im going to be able to escape the real world and lose myself in the punters paradise that is Chelternham. Thanks to the kind hearted folk of Betfair im off to Cheltenham on Thursday for a day of to much drink and too much food at the exspense of others- theres no better way! So back to the grind today, right the next week off then the second half of March all about getting the $20k month back on track........................
