After Nottingham i spent most if my time in my sick bed! Having 4 hours sleep in 2 1/2 days certainly didnt help add to this the bottle of Jim Bean that I helped empty with skalie and our host Dr Malcom mjm certainly didnt help, but lets face it drinking whisky and talking noncence all night with good friends (especially when one is a poker legend) is bloody good fun. Still my timing was off again, i was obvious coming down with a bug AGAIN and combined with the lack of sleep and too much drink, well it took its toll as i was put to bed for the week! Theres always an upside to being ill, for me it is the weight lose, a full stone just before Christmas is for once perfect timing!!! It also gave me plenty of time to reflect on the year and to really focus on what i want to achieve in 2009. Dwelling on 2008 is something ive decided not to do, the realities of whats happened in my real life have made the slight lose at the poker tables seem anything but important, so beating myself up about a losing year just isnt going to happen, and as ive said before if i take into account the live buy ins and the rake im actually well infront online so even when im feeling really really sorry for myself its still ptretty hard to get to down! So to the future and 2009, well firstly its going to be a winning year, of that i have no doubt! Im also planning on playing far more live poker which will include a couple of EPTs and a much longer run at the WSOP events. After my last two live events im starting to believe again, and when skalie had a pop at me for not playing enough live because he believes ive got the live game to win, well for me endorsements dont get any better than that!  But i ve still got 2 weeks of this year left and still plenty of time to finish the year on a high, but i dont think anyone can blame for wishing my life away and screaming come on 2009!!!!!!!!!!
