The down swing hit 50 buy ins on Monday- a huge swing in anyones book- but let me whisper this- i think i might be turning the corner! I cant put my finger on why i think this (though a $8k up in the last sessions helps!) but things have just started to feel diffrent. I dont know if suffering sick down turns before is a good thing, but what i am sure of it as certainly given me the know how on how to see these sicko spells through. Again being part of the badbeat team means that i also dont have to suffer in silence! Ive said before how inportant being bankrolled by badbeat has been for me in the sick times, this is only slightly more important than the supported offered mentally by badbeat and more importantly by my mentor. Theres been a lot of talk lately about what a mentor should/shouldnt be doing for his players- speaking as a player rather than a mentor i think the most important thing a mentor can do is be there when things go pair shaped, playing poker is so easy when its going well, and when its going well you dont need anyones advice- on the other side when things go *** up its a horrible job to be in and having someone there who knows the game, understands the swings and understands the workings of the poker players mind- well thats priceless- a few well placed words at just the right time can be just as important as that must have winning session. I like to think im able to deal with the bollox that poker gives out, but even with my sick know its still wonderful to have the back up and suport that i have at BB! Starting to sound like an advertisment! Anyway two good(ish) winning days on the run, good progress made in filling that deep hole in, and hopefully im going to go on the the biggest up swing of all time!!!!!!!!!
