My last post before i leave for Vegas and as expected after a massive winning session i have a massive losing session- in fact two losing sessions of 5 buy ins gone and im back in the red for the month-not the ideal preperation for WSOP. Id love to blame the muppets or the poker gods but the truth is i just kept making mistake after mistake. This usually happens when the "A" game is replaced by my move infested "D" game. Moving all in twice on the turn with a flush draw and being called by trips twice should have told me just how off i was. The month will end in a small minus but if i could have either the money back where i played like a donk, the money back where i was seriously donked or the money back where i got called by a donk who should have folded (example i move all in with nothing on a board showing flush, straight and possible full house- i get called by over pair) then i would have had a very good winning month-but off the three sets of loses theres only one i could have controlled and that was my donk plays and this month i think ive made more donk plays than i have in the previous 6. So no good blaming anyone else, even the poker gods get off this month- nope only person to blame for not paying the morgage this month is me- as simple as that!! After reading AJs blog from Vegas it would seem that my current donk play/style will be ideally suited for the WSOP! Getting in behind isnt working for me online but it sure seems a winning statergy playing live ! Ok next stop Vegas and im going to play my first event on the Monday the sicko fisho $1500 fixed limit shootout! Seriously could i find a sicker event to start in??!!
