Once upon a time in years gone by- when Ladbrokes was Europes number one poker site with a community of players I used to chat- in fact i used to chat a lot. Chatting was fun, it added to the "community" feel. It also meant id rant alot and give the fish a free lesson every now and then (all the time to be honest). Well time moves on and Ladbrokes is a distant memory as i now play most of my poker at Betfair (This may well change in the coming months as a new deal with Ladbrokes means i may well be back there playing). When i first started playing Betfair i did every now and then join in with the chat but quickly reaslised that i only had bad things to say! I most certainly wasnt adding to the community feel! If i chatted i was ranting end off!! So ive banned my own chat. I must admit when ive just been bottom bashed for the tenth time in ten hands against the table monkey who then starts telling me how bad i am i do find it a real battle not to get involved-but with great strength of charecter i stay silent and let the special ones have there moment. I have found though by not chatting the red mist passes much quicker- if i take a real money style beat by the time ive reloaded and played the next hand im back in control and smiling in the knowledge i beat the balloon over time- if id started ranting and chating the red mist would have just thickened and id have spent the next 30 mins or so education the fish while playing nothing better than a super aggressive ranting "z" game............................needless to say i spent most yesterday biting my lip as the special ones once again had there day- well so much of a day it seems to have been there month at my tables. Once again this month i slip back to a flat $0 P&L but on the bright side all the beats ive taken, all the special play rewarded ive got to be happy that im not in a deep hole.
