Well the swings continue and once again following a good day i have a crap day- four buy ins down and back to level for the month!!!! Thank heavens we have rake back to pay the bills!!! Didnt play too bad today but stacking 100BB pre flop with JJ v QQ can hardly be classed as good play- but my notes told me i could bu up again any pair or high ace including A10- when up against this range JJ all off a sudden becomes a power house!! When i lost 50BB with 7c5c after calling a three bet- well i kew my head had gone and it was time to stop before any real damage was done. So far this month i think ive donked six and half buy ins off and when im looking at a flat monthly P&L thats a hell of a lot of donk money.

Just been reading Maneuls blog and his state of mind regarding the WSOP. I too am a family man who would much rather be at home than half way round the world in some casino playing poker with alot of people i dont know and frankly dont want to know!!! I have a pretty good live record and if the truth be told it should be a lot better but as skalie likes to point out how can i possibly expect it to be better if i dont turn up and play?! Thisis of course a fair point!! So i agree with Maneul- id much rather be at home-but there are two tournements that i feel any poker player worth his salt has to attended and thats the EPT grand final in Monte Carlo and the WSOP because in my mind these are the European championship and World cup of poker!!! ISure you need a hell of lot of luck to even cash in these events but as the saying goes you got to be in um to win um!!!!! Vegas is fair from my favourite place to vist- in fact its the complete opposite of what i like- but every year i go back the place grows on me a little more and the fact that given a little luck- ok a lot of luck theres the biggest cash prize in sport is waiting for the winner- well its a 2-3 week home sickness im willing to take.
