Strummer9's Diary - Week 93 - Sunday 20th April

Had another crap day again far from the A game on show but a certain improvement from yesterday but far from good enough.

The loses all centred around three hands. I have 99 which i raise getting one caller – flop 10c2c2d. I bet pot and he moves all in?? WTF!!? Now id already decided that today i was going to be a tough solid opponent concentrating on stopping the leaks and saving the flair plays and hero calls for another day! But what was going on here? Surely hes on a draw? Hes defo on a draw im 60% fav so i call- hes got 1010!! Jesus!! My no foldum holdum image is strong!

A few hands later i get AcKd and raise get one caller. Flop 10c8c2d i bet and he moves all in. Now i fall back on my notes and im 100% sure (this time!!) that hes got a flush draw- fact ive got the ace means i must be in front and i call- bingo hes got KcJc but hits the flush....................but do i really need to be making these kind of calls when im running so bad?!

And then the final hand was AK again where i again end up being put all in pre flop which i call and run into and lose to 1010. Taken on face value my current form is summed up in the three hands. The first hand i lose to a monster hand played in such a bad way- but yet i still manage to lose a full buy in to a pathetic play- so whos the dummy?

The Second hand well i get my money in good- get the read right etc but seriously if im running bad surely i should be tightening up and saving these kind of calls for when im playing with the tables money? And then finally the third hand with AK- well AK CALLING all in pre flop- im gambling- why bother playing poker if i want to gamble? Might as well go and play the casino games. Turned the PC off after that hand- just really couldn’t be arsed- been a sick weekend and i need to get back to basics.
