Sunday 17th

Another beautiful early spring morning to round off a beautiful week. So I drove over to St Anne's for a some fresh sea air and a over sized over priced fish n chips. It was about the time I stood up from the meal that the back went! The fish wasn't that big! Anyway I stand up give out a load scream and start walking like i'm 90 years old. In these situations the missus can be relied on for sympathy...'its your own fault for drinking too much'! Why is everything that goes wrong with me in her eyes linked to drink!!? Anyway, the day trip was ended and we drove back home with me in agony. The injury had nothing to do with the fish n chips! Its was a delayed reaction to me moving furniture including carrying a wardrobe upstairs last week. Me and physical work have never liked each other and now my body was punishing me. This does not look good for the yearly golf trip to Portugal that kicks off in two weeks time - hmmmmm I really don't know what I will do if I can't join them on the golf course. Anyway, back to today. So my backs gone, i'm in a grumpy self pitying mood, i've got a couple of sessions booked and the Ladbrokes Poker Million weekly final to play. Job number one was cancelling the sessions. As I pointed out to the players involved there is no point you listening to me whimpering like a week old puppy and me telling you every other minute how much pain i'm in. So session re booked. I had an hour at cash as a warm up for the poker million and played like a pleb dropping two buy ins. I stopped playing that before I did any real damage. Then onto the Poker Million qualifier playing for a $21k seat. I played like a f**king idiot. 3000 starting chips 20 minute blinds and 5 hands in i'm up to 4500 yet I go out 20 minutes later holding 35 on a 4 6 J 6 3 board.....complete and utter f**king muppet play. Now I can put a little blame on the back - I am after all in agony (honestly, it really hurts!!)- but to go out of a $1600 buy in event after 30 minutes when i'd already ran the stack up 50% - oooooooo ffs that's just so sad.
