I have a theory about weekend online poker...because the tables are full of the weekend social players and generally drunk weekend social players, only one of two things happen.....you either get your hands holding up thus win big or you get sick beat after sick beat and you lose big. There is no in between...you cannot possibly finish level on a weekend night session - this is simply not possible. Well thankfully tonight I was on the right side of the swing adding to a very profitable week that has put me well in front for the month and is drawing me closer to getting level for the year (At BadBeat we start the new year on the 1st December). I have grafted my nuts off to get in the positive position. I find myself setting new personal records for table hours played. As a trader at BadBeat I am expected to play a minimum of 3000 hands per week - this equals around 40 table hours so over a month you are looking to play about 12000 hands. This month so far I have played in less than three weeks just short of 30,000 hands which is close to 400 tables hours.... for me a seriously sick amount of play! I suppose with so many hands under my belt it's no surprise to have suffered the amount of badbeats and cooler hands that i've seen - it's also no surprise to see the positive upswing in the P&L. Like most things in life if you work hard and do the right thing you should reap the benefits - hopefully this is a sign of things to come and the upswing is going to keep on climbing.
